Ukrainian military personnel continue to defend the country from Russian occupiers. If they sustain injuries or disabilities in combat, the state provides them with financial assistance.
One-time monetary assistance after receiving disability
Servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine receive one-time monetary assistance under Article 16 of the law 'On Social and Legal Protection of Servicemen and Members of Their Families' if they are assigned a certain group of disability.
How the amount of payments is determined
The amount of monetary assistance depends on the circumstances of the disability and the degree of its relation to military service. For example, a citizen will receive a larger sum if the disability, for instance, of group III, arose due to the performance of military service duties.
Children of combat participants and servicemen are entitled to various benefits, such as educational and medical advantages.
Ukrainian soldiers who suffered for their country have the right to state financial assistance in case of receiving a disability. The amount of payments depends on the degree of relation of the disability to military service, and additional benefits may also be provided for their children.
