According to The Sun: The football club 'Barcelona' is facing difficulties in choosing a stadium for its first home match of the season.

The Catalan team is working on getting Spotify Nou Camp operational for the La Liga match against Valencia, scheduled for September 14.

Nou Camp is currently under reconstruction, and 'Barça' has played at the Olympic Stadium for the past two seasons.

A decision regarding the group stage of the Champions League needs to be made soon, as the draw will take place this Thursday.

However, according to Mundo Deportivo, the club has not yet received the final completion certificate for the reconstruction.

'Barcelona' must confirm to UEFA by mid-February which stadium they will use.

The first La Liga champions played at the Olympic Stadium, but there is already a concert by Post Malone scheduled there this weekend.

'Blaugrana' has reserved the stadium from September 20, but for the match against Valencia, they have a backup plan to hold the match at Estadi Johan Cruyff.

However, La Liga inspectors have already visited this stadium, which accommodates the teams 'Barcelona Femení', 'Barcelona B', and juniors (U19 A team).

The most pressing issue is capacity: La Liga regulations require a minimum of 8000 seats, while Estadi Johan Cruyff accommodates only 6000.

Nevertheless, this rule may not be so strict, as La Liga previously allowed 'Eibar' to play at the 'Ipurua' stadium, which has a capacity of 7000 seats, for seven years.

'Barça' has two options: seek an exceptional extension from La Liga or install temporary stands.

Estadi Johan Cruyff currently cannot provide VAR, so 'Barcelona' will need to set up this equipment before the match.

'Barcelona' has not yet decided where their first 'home' match will take place.

La Liga must be informed of the club's intentions by early next week, as they already rejected the initial request to swap the order of matches and move the game to 'Mestalla' stadium in Valencia.

The club has also been informed that no team can start the season with more than three consecutive away matches.

'Barcelona' has already played away matches against 'Mallorca', 'Levante' and this Sunday visited 'Rayo Vallecano'.

Thus, the football club 'Barcelona' is facing serious challenges in choosing a stadium for important matches, which may impact their start of the season in La Liga. The prospects of using Estadi Johan Cruyff, although a source of instability, still remain potentially acceptable given the situation that has arisen. Observers are waiting for news from the club and are eager to see how this situation unfolds, especially considering the planned concert at the Olympic Stadium.
