Dnipro forward Volodymyr Konev will join the Ukrainian national team in Riga, reports the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.
Konev was delayed at the border due to errors in his military data.
After resolving the issue, the player crossed the border in accordance with current legislation.
The Ukrainian national team is preparing for EuroBasket 2025 qualification matches against Slovenia and Portugal.
The president of Dnipro believes that Konev is of great importance to the Ukrainian national team, similar to Zinchenko or Dovbyk for the football team.
The Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support explained the reasons for Konev's delay at the border.
