Basketball player Koval, who plays in the USA, has decided to change teams.
Ukrainian basketball player Katerina Koval announced her departure from the 'Notre Dame' team after one season in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. She thanked the coaches, the team, and the fans for their support and expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this program and university. Koval also took away many lessons that she will carry with her into the future.
During her first NCAA season, Katerina Koval played in 32 games, averaging 5.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.7 blocks. She plans to continue her career in the NCAA and is already listed on the transfer portal to find a new university.
In a EuroLeague match between 'Zalgiris' and 'Partizan', the fans of 'Zalgiris' held a performance in support of Ukraine. The match ended with 'Zalgiris' winning 70:66. The fans used Ukrainian flags, sang a song about Putin, and displayed modules of Ukrainian and Lithuanian colors.
Earlier, fans of the Serbian club 'Crvena Zvezda' held a pro-Russian performance, where they used a Russian flag and sang the song 'Katyusha'. There were also supporters with a 'DNR' flag.
