Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards has a new job: what will he do.
According to The Sun: Micah Richards recently took on a new challenge, which came just a few weeks after the start of the Premier League season.
The 37-year-old former Manchester City defender is actively involved in various fields after retiring from football.
Splash Richards is a brand ambassador for RemingtonRemingtonMicah is actively working as an expert for BBC Sport on 'Match of the Day' and for Sky Sports in the Premier League.
He is also a member of the CBS team covering the Champions League, where he discusses matches alongside Thierry Henry, Jamie Carragher, and host Kate Abdo.
In addition to his commentary work, Richards co-hosts the podcast 'The Rest Is Football' with Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer.
He also coached the Deportrio team in the debut season of the Baller League alongside the same teammates.
Recently, he received a new role as a brand ambassador for Remington, which specializes in personal care products such as hair dryers and razors.
Richards, known for his frequent visits to the barber, spends around £600 a week on it, which amounts to approximately £24,000 a year - with around 120 haircuts a year.
“I am excited to be working with Remington. My hairstyles have always been an important part of my expression – on and off the pitch – and I love how Remington creates high-performance tools that easily fit into everyday life.”
“I never thought I would demonstrate the example of convenient shaving at home, but here I am.”
Richards even invited his barber, with whom he has worked for 20 years, to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to always look 100%. Now, as a Remington ambassador, he decided to try learning how to cut hair in a fun video to give his barber a break.
Soon Richards will participate in several events for the brand, including a challenge where he will cut the hair of willing members of the audience.
Richards is actively engaged not only in commentary and podcasts but also in promoting his new brand. His role as a Remington ambassador gives him the opportunity to popularize tools that facilitate access to high-quality personal care. We look forward to his involvement in audience events, as such an initiative will certainly increase his popularity both on and off the pitch as well as in the media space. Read also
