Beckham and Neville become owners of 'Salford City'
Former 'Manchester United' footballers David Beckham and Gary Neville, along with American businessman Declan Kelly and Lord Mervyn Davies, have become the owners of 'Salford City' from the English League 2. This information was provided by the club's press service.
Previously, Beckham and Neville were already co-owners of 'Salford' together with other former 'MU' players like Nicky Butt, Ryan Giggs, Phil Neville, and Paul Scholes. They decided to sell their shares but will remain in positions at the club.
According to The Athletic, since the departure of major shareholder Peter Lim in 2024, Beckham and Neville had been seeking investment partners. And finally, they struck a deal with Kelly and Davies.
It is also worth noting that on May 2, David Beckham turned 50 years old. This famous footballer is one of the greatest players of his generation, having won with 'Manchester United', 'Real Madrid', 'Los Angeles Galaxy', and PSG.
Champions League Final: 'PSG' vs 'Inter'
In the second semi-final match of the Champions League, 'Paris Saint-Germain' convincingly defeated 'Arsenal' with a score of 2:1 and reached the final. 'Inter' also made it to the final after defeating 'Barcelona' in a dramatic confrontation.
Thus, in the Champions League final, 'PSG' will play against 'Inter'. The match will take place on May 31 at the 'Allianz Arena' in Munich.
