Yeast-Free Pies in Brine: Quick Recipe with an Appetizing Crust.
Yeast-free pies in brine are a true find for those who value simplicity and speed in cooking. They turn out soft on the inside and with an appetizing golden crust on the outside. The dough requires only a few affordable ingredients, and you can add anything you love to the filling. This recipe will come in handy when you need to quickly whip up something tasty for tea or lunch.
You will need:
- any warm brine - 200 ml;
- sugar - 1 tbsp;
- oil - 3-4 tbsp;
- baking soda - 1 tsp;
- flour - 400 g (the dough should be soft);
- any filling - to your taste;
- oil for frying - as needed.
Cooking Method
Strain the brine and slightly warm it until it is warm. Add baking soda and mix thoroughly. Add sugar, stirring until it fully dissolves, then pour in the oil. Gradually add flour, kneading the dough first with a spoon or spatula, then with your hands. It should be soft and not stick to your hands. Wrap the dough in a bag and leave it for 10 minutes.
After the dough has rested, divide it into 2 parts, and each part into 5 pieces. Form balls and roll them into circles.
To prevent the edges from drying out, you can cover them with film. Place the filling in the center of each circle and tightly seal the edges.
Heat a pan with oil. Place the pies seam-side down and fry on medium heat, periodically flipping them, until golden brown.
Transfer the finished pies to paper towels to absorb excess fat. Serve hot or warm.
