173 combat clashes in a day: General Staff released data on the situation at the front.
Situation at the Front
According to FREEДOM:
Over the past day, 173 combat clashes were recorded at the front. Russian occupation forces carried out two missile and 64 air strikes on the positions of the Ukrainian defense forces. In addition, the enemy carried out 4,625 shellings, using 3,891 kamikaze drones. This was reported on August 27 by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
Frontline Directions
In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Ukrainian units repelled 15 attacks from the enemy.
In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the AFU four times near Hluboké, Volchansk, Krasny Pervy, and Doroshivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were eight combat clashes. The enemy made assault actions in the area of Kupiansk and Nova Kruhlyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops made 34 attacks, trying to break through the Ukrainian defense near Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Kolodezi, and other settlements.
In the Seversk direction, Ukrainian forces stopped nine assault actions of the occupiers in the areas of Hryhorivka, Serebryanka, and Fedorivka.
The enemy attacked six times in the Kramatorsk direction, trying to advance towards Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, there were eight attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Oleksandro-Kalynovo, and near the settlements of Berestok, Stepankivka, Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 44 assault actions of the aggressor near Nykanorivka, Novoekonomichne, Myrolubivka, and other settlements.
In the Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy conducted 23 attacks in the area of Zeleny Hay, Shevchenka, Voskresenka, Kamyshevy, and other settlements.
In the Dnieper direction, the aggressor made three attempts to advance.
In the Volyn, Huliaipil, Orikhiv, and Poleske directions, the Russian army did not conduct any offensive actions.
Response to Disinformation
The General Staff of the AFU previously reported that the information about the occupation of the villages of Zaporizhske and Novohrihorivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region is not true.
Currently, the situation at the front remains tense. Ukrainian forces continue to resist the aggression, repelling numerous enemy attacks and defending their positions. At the same time, it is important not to fall for misinformation and messages that may mislead, as the truth is always the best weapon in times of war.
