Defending the title of the young champion
According to The Sun: Kamiila Zamorano from Mexico successfully defended her title, becoming the youngest world champion in this sport in October. Currently, the teenager has an immaculate record of 13-0 in her career, despite having to compete against opponents who are twice her age.
Zamorano achieved success on the international stage when she won the interim WBC title in the atomweight category in June.
“I have always been confident in my abilities and was ready for any challenges,”she noted after her last fight.
Young athletes like Zamorano often become symbols of a new generation in sports, and her successes can inspire other athletes to reach new heights in their disciplines. Her upcoming fights may prove to be even greater challenges, as competition in the sport continues to grow.
