Employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Nazaryuk died on August 2, 2022, in battle in the Luhansk region. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Yuriy Nazaryuk was born in the village of Sokil in the Rozhyshche community in Volyn.
Since 2015, he has been carrying out tasks in the ATO/JFO area. In particular, in June 2016, the personnel of the reconnaissance group under Nazaryuk's command carried out tasks to detain enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups near the village of Vodiane. During that operation, three Russian militants were eliminated and eight more were captured with samples of weapons and personal documents.

Employee of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Nazaryuk fell in battle in the Luhansk region on August 2, 2022.
Yuriy Nazaryuk took part in the liberation of Irpin and Bucha from the Russian invaders, performed combat missions in Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Luhansk, and Donetsk regions. He was one of the heroic defenders of Mariupol. The hero has several destroyed units of enemy equipment and dozens of eliminated invaders on his personal account. Morally and physically strong, he always knew how to make bold decisions quickly, which saved hundreds of lives of Ukraine's defenders. He held undeniable authority and respect among his comrades-in-arms.
Major Nazaryuk was bid farewell in Kyiv on June 6, 2022.

We honor the memory of all Ukrainians who died in the struggle for their homeland. We remember those who were killed by the Russian invaders, light candles of remembrance, and bow our heads in mourning during the nationwide minute of silence, honoring the bright memory of Ukrainian citizens who gave their lives for the freedom and independence of the state: all military personnel, civilians, and children, all who died in the fight against Russian occupiers and as a result of the invasion of enemy troops into Ukrainian cities and villages.
