British fighters intercepted Russian planes over the Baltics three times in a week.

Ukrainian Armed Forces have for the first time detected NATO airspace violations by Russian planes. Two Eurofighter Typhoon fighters, based in Poland, took off three times to identify unknown objects. It turned out that all these objects belonged to Russia, as reported on the official website of the Royal Air Force.

The first two incidents occurred on April 15. During the first, British fighters caught a Russian Il-20M aircraft that came from Kaliningrad. This aircraft is used for surveillance and reconnaissance. On the same day, NATO intercepted two Russian Su-30MKI fighters that also left the airspace of Kaliningrad.

On Thursday, April 17, two Typhoons intercepted another Il-20M that was moving over the Baltic Sea. According to reports, the Russian aircraft did not respond to calls, so British pilots monitored its movement.

It is worth noting that this is the first time that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have recorded violations of NATO airspace by Russian planes. This emphasizes the importance of ensuring security from intruders and potential threats.
