Jockey Bryony Frost Reveals Reasons for Moving to France: Who She Misses the Most

According to The Sun: Top jockey Bryony Frost spoke about her important move to France and the one person in Britain she 'greatly misses.'

Frost made the bold decision to start a new life across the channel, and it is already paying off.

Just last month, Frost achieved the biggest victory of her career, earning a cheque for £46,000 in the 3 Prix de Chambly Grand Prix in Auteuil.

During the perfect race, she managed to outpace her boyfriend Baptiste Leclerc to take first place.

Frost is leveraging her achievements to gain new opportunities with major owners like Simon Munir and Isaac Souede.

Memories of the Past

However, in an interview with The Times, Frost admitted that she still misses some aspects of her life in Britain.

She fell victim to bullying from rival Robbie Dunne, which ultimately led to his ten-month ban. Winning the Grand Prize 1 made her realize that opportunities for new races are becoming fewer.

Frost has always had a reliable partner — 14-time champion trainer Paul Nicholls, but she misses another key member of their team — Clifford Baker.

Clifford has been Nicholls' right-hand man for nearly 30 years, and together they have achieved practically all major victories.

Frost said: “Clifford helped me a lot, and I really miss him in my life.”

Baker rightfully earned the title of 'absolute legend' among Ditcheat fans. Former Nicholls assistant Harry Derham noted that Baker was “the most important member of Paul’s team.”

His advice still helps Frost, but significant changes have taken place in her life in France.

A New Life in Paris

Finally, Frost, who previously dated Willie Mullins' son Patrick, shared that she has been in a relationship with Leclerc for about a year now. She emphasized that their competitiveness on the track is offset by support off it.

Leclerc was asked if it was hard for him to lose to Frost in a significant race at Auteuil. He simply replied:

“No. I was just so happy for her.”

Frost's move to France opens up new opportunities in her career, but she also does not forget about her past and the people who were with her on this journey. Her achievements and support from those around her, like Leclerc, create the foundation for a successful future in new conditions.
