Bullet dodged – Arsenal and Newcastle fans tear into embarrassing Sesko as Man Utd’s £200m front three bottle pens.
Benjamin Sesko's Debut Fail
According to The Sun: Arsenal and Newcastle fans couldn't contain their glee as Benjamin Sesko's match for Manchester United against Grimsby once again saw him fail to make an impact. His debut turned into a dismal performance, and the £74 million striker is unlikely to be remembered for this match.
Sesko spent 90 minutes on the pitch during the shocking defeat in the Carabao Cup.
His poor performance against Grimsby was capped off by a lamentable overhead kick. Shutterstock EditorialHe failed to convert several clear chances, and one of his attempts ended in a woeful overhead kick that led to him falling to the ground.
Fans Thrilled by the Failure
Fans from Arsenal and Newcastle didn’t hide their satisfaction with Sesko's downfall, as both clubs had tried to sign him this summer.
The Gunners hoped to strike a deal with RB Leipzig but ultimately opted for the more experienced Viktor Gyökeres.
Newcastle also attempted to sign Sesko, but Manchester United managed to swoop in for the transfer, offering significantly more.
Supporters from both teams joyfully mocked his failures:
“Bullet dodged.”
“Remember, no refunds.”
One fan noted: “He always scores when there’s no ball involved.”
“Leipzig always cheats with their strikers.”

Sesko was also under the watchful eyes of his new teammates — Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, who shadowed him throughout the match.
The price of the new strikers cost the club £207 million this summer.
United looked closer to victory when Mbeumo narrowed the deficit to 2-1.
However, Cunha failed to convert a penalty that could have improved their chances, and Mbeumo hit the crossbar, sealing Grimsby's victory.
Fans joked: “The fact that Sesko didn’t score from two yards, and Cunha and Mbeumo missed penalties, makes the situation ten times better.”
Another fan commented: “Two goals in three matches is dreadful.”
