According to The Sun: The Grimsby football club gained an award for reaching the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup, sensationally defeating Manchester United, and will now compete against Sheffield Wednesday.

The League Two team at Blundell Park eliminated Ruben Amorim's players from the tournament on Wednesday night.

Tyrrell Warren, a former Manchester United academy graduate and good friend of loaned Barcelona player Marcus Rashford, opened the scoring with a goal that made it 2-0 in favor of Grimsby, bringing the team closer to history.

Although £60 million summer signing Bryan Mbeumo and £80 million Harry Maguire equalized in the second half, Mbeumo's decisive penalty hit the crossbar, allowing Grimsby to advance.

In other matches, defending champions Newcastle United will start their title defense at home against League One leaders Bradford City, while last year's finalists Liverpool will travel to St. Mary's Stadium to play Southampton.
