A certain number of military personnel from the DPRK are already on the territory of Ukraine. The West expects their number to increase as foreign military personnel prepare and move to the frontline. This is reported by CNN.
According to the publication, the presence of DPRK military personnel in Ukraine was revealed by two unnamed representatives of Western intelligence.
It is expected that the number of North Korean military personnel in Ukraine will grow as their training in eastern Russia is completed.
Meanwhile, an American official told reporters that the US cannot yet confirm reports of North Korean troops' presence in Ukraine.
Another CNN source believes that the total number of North Korean troops in Russia may increase.
It is worth noting that there is currently no official information about the deployment of DPRK military personnel to Ukraine.
However, at the beginning of October, information emerged that six North Korean officers were eliminated following a strike by Ukrainian defenders near Donetsk.
The situation is under control
It was previously reported that NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed that Russia is involving North Korean military personnel in the war with Ukraine. According to him, military units from the DPRK are now deployed in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation. This was stated by the Secretary General of the Alliance at a briefing.
Also, President Volodymyr Zelensky, referring to intelligence, said that by October 27-28, the first military personnel from the DPRK will be involved by Russia in combat zones.
North Korea is ready for war
As reported, North Korea's military reserves allow it to conduct combat operations for three months. The South Korean Yonhap agency notes that the DPRK has begun full production to meet the needs of Russia's armed forces in armaments.
Young servicemen
According to The Wall Street Journal, the military personnel from the DPRK in Russia may not be the best representatives of Kim Jong Un's army. According to video and intelligence data, they are likely young people from teenage years to their 20s, who are in the initial stages of military service.
