Biathlon World Championship: the first individual start has taken place.
2025 Biathlon World Championship: women’s sprint results
In Switzerland, in the town of Lenzerheide, the 2025 Biathlon World Championship has begun. The first race of this tournament was the women's sprint. Four Ukrainian athletes participated in the race: Yuliya Dzhima, Irina Petrenko, Kristina Dmytrenko, and Olena Horodna. For Dzhima, this was her first performance at the World Championship due to an illness that prevented her from competing in the opening race. For Horodna, this sprint was her debut at the World Championship level.

I would like to note that the Ukrainian team started at the Biathlon World Championship on February 12. In the first race, the team took eighth place. In the mixed relay, Irina Petrenko, Kristina Dmytrenko, Anton Dudchenko, and Dmytro Pidruchnyi participated.
