Border Delays Reported at Ukrainian Checkpoints on February 16.
Current Border Conditions
According to Novyny.live: As of the morning of February 16, significant vehicle queues have formed at several Ukrainian border crossing points. This follows earlier reports from border guards of congestion dating back to February 9. Today, notable delays are primarily affecting two checkpoints on routes toward Poland and Hungary. Border traffic has been a persistent challenge since the full-scale invasion, often fluctuating with security conditions and seasonal travel.
At the 'Yahodyn' checkpoint, the processing of both pedestrians and passenger vehicles has been temporarily suspended, causing considerable inconvenience. A similar situation exists at the 'Ustyluh' crossing, where a queue of 10 cars is currently waiting, and pedestrian crossing is also halted. The 'Tysa' checkpoint is experiencing comparable delays, with 11 passenger vehicles reported and no pedestrian access available.
Travel Advisory
Travelers should note that queues are not confined to the Polish border but are also present on routes to Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova. These border delays can significantly extend crossing times, making advance trip planning essential for anyone intending to travel.
Given the increased vehicle traffic at certain checkpoints, drivers and pedestrians should anticipate potential delays and restrictions resulting from the higher volume of vehicles.

Such situations inevitably create difficulties for travelers, underscoring the importance of factoring in expected wait times when organizing journeys. Should the trend of increasing traffic continue, border service authorities may implement additional measures to alleviate congestion at the checkpoints.
