Naftogaz explained why gas can burn not blue, but red.
Sometimes you can notice that the color of the flame in the gas stove changes - instead of the usual blue, the fire becomes yellowish, orange, or even red. This phenomenon can cause concern among people.
However, the appearance of such a shade of gas flame should not cause anxiety among Ukrainians regarding the quality of fuel or the presence of impurities. Such changes in color are usually explained by completely different factors.
Naftogaz pointed out that the color of the flame on the stove may change for the following reasons:
Contamination of burners.
- Using too large cookware.
- Incorrect adjustment of the stove according to the type of gas.
- Insufficient ventilation in the room.
- Low pressure in the gas pipeline.
How to solve the problem of flame color change:
Thorough cleaning of equipment
- Regularly wash burners and the stove grate. Clean equipment is a guarantee of proper and safe gas combustion.
Proper ventilation
- Ensure good ventilation of the kitchen. It is important to keep ventilation openings open at all times, even if repairs are underway in the room.
Help from specialists
- If the flame color has not normalized after following these recommendations, do not try to solve the problem yourself. Call a gas service technician - a professional inspection will help identify and eliminate possible malfunctions.
