Will boxing be represented at the Olympics? The IOC Executive Board has made a decision.

Boxing may be included in the program of the 2028 Olympics
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommends including boxing in the program of the 2028 Summer Olympic Games in Los Angeles. This was announced by IOC President Thomas Bach.
In June 2023, the IOC excluded the International Boxing Association (IBA) from the Olympic movement. The boxing competitions at the 2024 Olympics in Paris will be organized by a special IOC unit. An alternative organization, World Boxing, was established by national federations that withdrew from the IBA.
The Executive Board considered the issue of including boxing in the program of the 2028 Games. After the temporary recognition of the international federation World Boxing in February, we found ourselves in a position to make this decision. The recommendation will be presented to the session, I am confident that it will be approved, so that athletes from around the world can be assured that they will be able to participate in the 2028 Olympic Games if their national federations are recognized by World Boxing,' Bach said at a press conference.
The IOC responded to questions about a photo of Thomas Bach with the neutral-status Russian skier Varvara Prokhorova, who holds the rank of sergeant in the Russian army. The ISMF's website notes that the organization's Office of Ethics and Compliance includes Russian Maxim Soldatkin.
Prokhorova now has the opportunity to compete in the World Cup stages and qualify for the 2026 Olympics in Italy.
It is worth noting that only those Russian athletes who are not representatives of the armed forces or law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation can obtain neutral status.
Prokhorova herself mentioned in an interview with Russian propagandists that Soldatkin is also involved in her obtaining 'neutral status.'
