Feed Wheat Market Conditions in Ukraine

According to Novyny.live: Buying prices for feed wheat in Ukraine are declining due to low trading and purchasing activity. Meanwhile, prices for new-crop wheat remain steady, though feed wheat at ports has fallen to $221 per ton.

As of June 1, a ton of feed wheat is priced at 10,086 hryvnias. In the preceding days, the price held relatively stable: on May 29, it was also 10,086 hryvnias per ton; on May 30, it edged up slightly to 10,091 hryvnias; and on May 31, it returned to 10,086 hryvnias. Among other grains, rye stood at 10,147 hryvnias per ton on June 1.

Prices for Other Agricultural Commodities

For other crops, a ton of barley is valued at 8,967 hryvnias, corn at 10,557 hryvnias, and soybeans at 20,389 hryvnias. This data highlights ongoing strain in the grain market, driven in part by reduced buying activity for feed wheat—a trend that could shape the future of Ukraine’s agricultural sector.

The drop in feed wheat prices mirrors overall market conditions, where purchasing activity has slowed, likely influenced by both domestic and international economic factors.

Close monitoring is essential, as further market shifts could impact Ukraine’s agricultural production and exports, as well as the financial stability of the farming sector. In the near term, tracking these trends is critical, given their potential to significantly affect farmer incomes and commodity prices.
