Ukrainian Corn Export Prices Surge, Reaching 10,300 Hryvnias per Ton.
Export Prices for Corn
According to Novyny.live: In late February, export prices for feed corn climbed to 9,600 hryvnias per ton. In Ukraine's southern regions, the price for corn delivered for export was even higher, reaching 10,300 hryvnias per ton. This surge indicates a significant increase in demand and shifting market conditions. Ukraine is a major global grain exporter, making these price movements relevant to international markets.
According to data, prices at ports ranged from $207 to $214 per ton, equivalent to 8,901 to 9,202 hryvnias, further confirming strong activity in the feed corn market. As of February 26, 2026, the domestic price for feed corn stood at 8,007 hryvnias per ton, also showing an increase compared to earlier periods.
For instance, on February 18, a ton of feed corn was valued at 7,957 hryvnias, highlighting the dynamic price fluctuations observed throughout the month. This price growth is a critical indicator for the country's agricultural sector and may influence future decisions by farmers regarding the cultivation and sale of this crop.
Reasons Behind the Price Increase
The rise in corn prices in Ukraine is likely linked to global agricultural market trends, particularly increased international demand for feed grains. This phenomenon could encourage Ukrainian farmers to expand corn production, which would, in turn, impact the economies of regions where this crop is a staple.
The price dynamics also underscore the importance of continuous market monitoring for effective planning in agricultural production.
