CNN: Biden to Talk with Netanyahu to Avoid Total War in the Middle East.

U.S. President Joe Biden said he would meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu soon. The situation in the Middle East has escalated after the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, which was carried out by Israel.
'Yes, I will meet with him,' Biden said on Sunday when returning to the White House from Dover Air Force Base, CNN reports.
The President also said it is necessary to avoid a full-scale war in the Middle East. 'We have already taken security measures for our embassies and personnel willing to leave the country, but we have not resolved this issue yet. We are also cooperating with the French and other countries,' he noted.
Before Nasrallah's assassination, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu rejected a ceasefire proposal offered by the U.S. and France, which included a 21-day pause in hostilities on the Israeli-Lebanese border. This angered American officials.
Israel informed the U.S. that it was beginning its operation in Beirut after it had already started, which disappointed some American officials.
