In Vinnytsia, a man was detained who illegally smuggled people across the border to Moldova. For his 'services', he demanded money. The court made a ruling.
A man from the Vinnytsia region organized the smuggling of two people to Moldova across the Dniester River. He demanded 5,000 euros from each person, as well as 250 euros for an inflatable boat. The court issued a sentence: 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment.
Such cases are becoming increasingly common in Ukraine. Earlier, border guards in Odesa region detained other individuals who were attempting to illegally cross the border. This harms both the smuggling operations and legitimate interstate cooperation. Fortunately, the police continue to fight against this phenomenon.
