Three Key Requirements for Ukrainian Men Under 23 to Travel Abroad
According to Novyny.live: Ukrainian men aged 23 and younger retain the right to travel abroad even under martial law, provided they meet three specific conditions. This legal right for two-way border crossing was confirmed by lawyer Vladyslav Derii.
Mandatory Conditions for Departure
To exercise this right to leave the country, three mandatory conditions must be fulfilled:
- A valid international passport.
- A military registration document, which can be the electronic military registration document (e-VOD) from the 'Reserve+' application.
- Not being listed as wanted by a Territorial Recruitment Center (TRC).
By adhering to these requirements, young men can cross the border legally. This clarification is significant for many young Ukrainians, as the ongoing conflict has created widespread uncertainty about travel rules. Understanding these specific legal pathways is crucial for those considering travel for education, work, or personal reasons during this challenging period.
