Crystal Palace wants to bring back Conor Gallagher: details of the possible transfer.
According to The Sun: Crystal Palace is interested in Connor Gallagher
Crystal Palace, along with other Premier League clubs, has inquired about the availability of Conor Gallagher from 'Atletico Madrid'. The team is looking to strengthen its midfield after selling Eberechi Eze to 'Arsenal' for £67.5 million.
Connor Gallagher, who impressed with his game on loan at 'Selhurst Park' from 'Chelsea' during the 2021-22 season, is rumored to be considering a return to Crystal Palace with a possible loan deal. Gallagher, who was signed by 'Atletico Madrid' for £36 million a year ago, aims to secure regular playing time ahead of next summer's World Cup.
Gallagher played 50 matches for Atletico last season, scoring four goals and providing six assists. However, he has played just 67 minutes in the team's first two matches of the current season.
Newcastle has also shown interest in Gallagher but recently signed Jacob Ramsey from 'Aston Villa'. 'Atletico' is reluctant to part with the midfielder unless a significant offer is made.
Crystal Palace's transfer plans
Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is concerned about the lack of options after Eze's departure to 'Arsenal'. The team is also facing uncertainty due to the captain Marc Guéhi's contract expiring at the end of the season, amid rumors linking him to 'Liverpool'.
According to SunSport, Glasner plans to acquire winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, while chairman Steve Parish is interested in Spanish national Jeremy Pino from 'Villarreal'. If both players are available in the £20 million range, Crystal Palace could make offers for both.
After Eberechi Eze's departure to 'Arsenal', Crystal Palace is actively considering options to strengthen the squad, including the potential return of Conor Gallagher. The team is also considering possible transfers of other players, such as Christos Tzolis and Jeremy Pino, to bolster the team in the near future.Read also
