Sugar factories in Vinnytsia region have completed the season with record indicators.
The sugar production season in Vinnytsia has ended. During this period, over 2.7 million tons of sugar raw materials were processed and 350 thousand tons of sugar were produced. This information was reported on the website of the regional military administration.
In 2024, agricultural enterprises in Vinnytsia gathered sugar beets on an area of 63 thousand hectares, which is 9 thousand more than in 2023. It is noted that the gross harvest amounted to about 2.5 million tons, which corresponds to last year's indicators.
In the region, five sugar factories operated, which processed sugar raw materials grown both in Vinnytsia and beyond.
In addition, one of the sugar factories accumulated sugar syrup, which will be used this year for sugar production.
