Raymond Smith declined the PDC World Championship
According to The Sun: Australian darts player Raymond Smith initially did not plan to participate in the PDC World Darts Championship, even if he managed to defeat Simon Whitlock. In the final match of the ANZ Premier League, which took place on Saturday, Whitlock defeated Smith 10-7, gaining the opportunity to return to Alexander Palace.
“Regardless of everything, I would not have attended the World Championship even if I had won the last match,” Smith said.
Whitlock, who had previously lost his PDC card for 2024, has now regained his place among the top players. His return to the elite is undoubtedly a preparation for upcoming tournaments, as dart competitions always attract the attention of fans.
