State Department will focus on Ukraine's success before inauguration - spokesperson.
According to US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, the current leadership of the foreign policy department will focus on making progress on the most important directions, particularly on improving Ukraine's position.
He also added that the Secretary of State intends to use the remaining Time at his disposal to achieve significant successes on various issues. This particularly involves supporting the development of the Indo-Pacific region, competitiveness in confronting China, stopping military conflicts, and stabilizing Lebanon and Gaza.
Miller noted that the team has a lot of work to do over the next 74 days, and they are ready to use this time as effectively as possible.
Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Mull will oversee the process of transitioning power to the new team. The importance of a smooth and professional transition between administrations was emphasized by the department's representative.
