Man informed about the location of the Armed Forces of Ukraine — what the court decided.
A resident of Rivne spread information about the location of Ukrainian servicemen. He was brought to criminal responsibility.
According to the court, on February 1 of this year, the defendant published a screenshot in a Viber group, marking the location of a military facility on the map. This information had not been previously disclosed by any state authorities.
Court Decision
During the court hearing, the accused admitted his guilt. He did not explain the reason for disseminating information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the messenger.
The judge found him guilty and sentenced him to five years in prison, but the punishment was replaced with one year of probation. In addition, the convicted person's iPhone 7 was confiscated.
If necessary, the verdict can be appealed within 30 days.
It is reminded that in the Odesa region, a father of three children refused mobilization and was sentenced to three years in prison.
Also, in Kharkiv region, a man who killed a 14-year-old teenager was sentenced to 14 years in prison.
The Ukrainian court issued a verdict against a resident of Rivne who disseminated information about military facilities. The accused received 5 years in prison, but the punishment was replaced with one year of probation. Such actions are considered serious violations of the law on state secrets and have consequences for the country's security.
