Why Dynamo Kyiv's Move for Girona Goalkeeper Krapivtsov Collapsed.
Dynamo Kyiv's Transfer Activity
According to Novyny.live: During the winter transfer window, Dynamo Kyiv explored options to strengthen their goalkeeping department, with one target being Vladyslav Krapivtsov from the Spanish club Girona. Ultimately, the deal fell through, leaving the Ukrainian giants to conclude the window without signing a new shot-stopper. This comes as Dynamo, a historic force in Ukrainian football, looks to rebuild its competitive edge.
Vladyslav Krapivtsov joined Girona as a free agent in December 2024, signing a contract that runs until June 2029. In the current season, the goalkeeper has made three appearances, conceding eight goals.
Negotiations and Outcome
According to Mykhailo Spivakovskyi, there were working contacts between the parties, but the negotiations ultimately failed to yield a positive result. Consequently, Dynamo will continue their campaign with their existing goalkeepers, making no changes to the squad in this key position.
The failure to secure a new signing for the goalkeeping role could impact Dynamo's results in upcoming matches, as the team must now rely on its current options. This decision may also indicate the club's focus on developing its young players or reinforcing other areas of the pitch, a strategic choice that could shape their future trajectory.
