Martin Jensen returns to the UK

According to The Sun: Danish DJ and producer Martin Jensen is preparing for his return to the UK in October, where he will perform in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Sheffield, and Newcastle.

Best known for his hit Solo Dance, which has amassed billions of streams, Jensen has made the journey from small clubs to the biggest music stages in the world.

“It changed everything for me, as at one moment it was one of the biggest tracks in the world, which was incredible for a small Dane.”

“At one moment you are a DJ in small nightclubs, and suddenly you have a worldwide hit,” he adds.

Everything happened quite quickly. “Honestly, it has only been a year and a half since I started working in the studio. Before that, I DJed for ten years. I just love performing and playing music, and that has been my motivation,” the artist notes.

Jensen performed in front of 85,000 spectators at Capital's Summertime Ball and shared the stage with Bruno Mars.

“I think I never realized what I had done until this happened, because at that moment it hit me. It’s a very addictive feeling.”

Making it to the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list was another important milestone: “You’ve been DJing for so many years, and suddenly you’re in the Top 100 DJs in the world. It’s absolutely incredible.”

This recognition opened doors for him all over Asia: “Indonesia, China, Japan, Korea – the entire Asian market quickly opened up to me.”

Since then, he has collaborated with James Arthur, The Vamps, and Jason Derulo, although he admits that not all big projects see the light of day: “In nine out of ten cases, a track may never be released! It’s a crazy world, but that’s what keeps everything exciting.”

His new single Follow Me, in collaboration with LAWRENT and vocalist SACHA, is already receiving positive support on British radio.

“We just wanted to create a track that had a nostalgic sound of the 2010s when times weren't as complicated as they are now.”

Jensen also became the first DJ to judge The X Factor Denmark: “It didn’t change my production, but I learned a lot about TV performances,” he noted.

“Around 20% of the country was watching this live every Friday, so I was in the living rooms of many people.”

However, this popularity also brought some challenges: “I even had to deal with threats for criticizing contestants.”

Besides music, Jensen is the first male ambassador of the organization Strut Safe, which provides phone support to people returning home at night.

“I can also be a little paranoid when I walk down the street early in the morning. It’s unfortunately the world we live in. I know the safety that it provides, so I’m happy to support Strut Safe.”

Speaking about the upcoming UK tour, Jensen is looking forward to it: “Newcastle is definitely one of the best shows I’ve had in the UK. I also love Manchester and, of course, Ministry of Sound. The British audience is fun; people love to entertain. I like that.”

Don’t miss Martin Jensen’s performances during his tour in the UK. His return promises to be vibrant and unforgettable, as he already has a multitude of fans among electronic music enthusiasts.
