According to Novyny.live: Held on June 6–7, 2026, at the International Exhibition Center, the FANCON 2026 festival served as the stage for the announcement of a sequel to the Ukrainian fantasy novel 'Hort: The First Characternyk.' Co-authors Alan Badoiev and Olga Navrotska discussed the development of the follow-up. With pre-orders already open, the second installment has generated significant anticipation among readers, reflecting strong demand for the continuation of this story.

The first book, 'Hort: The First Characternyk,' achieved a print run exceeding 40,000 copies, underscoring the popularity of this fantasy universe. Navrotska began drafting the second volume in the fall, with the bulk of the work concentrated in January and February 2026. During the festival, an animated trailer was also unveiled, featuring voice performances by Yevhen Lisnychyi and Kateryna Kachan for the main characters.

Authors' Plans

Alan Badoiev remarked: 'I haven't had the chance to read the book from cover to cover yet, but I know the entire plot and where the story is heading. Right now, my focus is on the screenplay adaptation of the first part. Meanwhile, Olya is already starting work on the third book.'
