For the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, Zhadan Appeared in Parade Military Uniform.

On October 1, on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, writer and musician Serhiy Zhadan, who mobilized into the National Guard in June 2024, pleased his followers with a new photo.

In the photo, Serhiy Zhadan along with the founder of "Khartiya" Vsevolod Kozhemyako appeared in parade military uniforms, imagining the day when victory will come, and in honor of it, the military will finally wear parade uniforms.

In the post, the "Khartiya" serviceman congratulated all those involved on the Day of Defenders of Ukraine.

"Friends, happy holiday to all. Glory to Ukraine!", wrote Zhadan.

This photo was taken during the filming of a video about the dream of every Ukrainian. The video was shot in the heart of Kharkiv, where in February 2022 a volunteer unit was formed, which by May 2024 became the "Khartiya" brigade. The fighters of "Khartiya" protect the Kharkiv region.

"The military uniform of the Defense Forces is one of the symbols of the state, especially when the country is at war and defending its borders. That is why respect for the uniform is respect for the state itself. This is how the concept of "honor of the uniform" appears. Understanding this concept does not come immediately, but only after realizing and accepting the values of one's unit, brigade, branch of the armed forces, and in general - the Defense Forces. And the parade uniform is a symbol of our greatest dream and goal, our common victory. It is the dream for which every soldier lives and works every day", said Serhiy Zhadan while spreading the video.

For the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, INDPOSHIV and Khartiya showed their dream. The video was shot in the heart of Kharkiv - the place where a volunteer unit was born in February 2022, and which since May 2024 has been protected by the Khartiya brigade.

The Ukrainian men's clothing brand Indposhiv, which in 2024 opened another direction - sewing parade uniforms for the military, helped to imagine the dream of Victory Day.

"Congratulations! How well the uniform suits you! May God protect our defenders!", "Happy holidays to you! And convey greetings to "Khartiya"!", "Wishing abundant blessings from God and victory from the Lord!", "Congratulations! Where is the leather jacket? Where are the sneakers? The uniform suits you very well!", commented Zhadan's followers on his photo.

Let us remember, in 2023, by the initiative of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Ukraine celebrated the Day of Defenders and Defenders for the first Time on a new date - October 1. This is due to the shift to a new church calendar on September 1, 2023, which moved all church holidays 13 days earlier. Since the Day of Defenders of Ukraine was previously celebrated on Pokrova, October 14, this day also changed.

On October 1, the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, a nationwide moment of silence was held. As part of state-level events, the nationwide moment of silence took place at 9:00 on Khreshchatyk and Independence Square.

Also at 9:00 AM on the Day of Defenders, in Kyiv, the movement of cars and pedestrians stopped, and people paused to pay tribute to the fallen Heroes. Drivers got out of their cars and sang the anthem together with pedestrians. Along Khreshchatyk Street stood the relatives and close ones of the fallen defenders and defenders with their portraits.
