Frosts will arrive in Ukraine on December 24: forecasters shared details.

According to ТСН: In Ukraine, temperatures will begin to drop on December 24, with frosts expected.

Forecaster Natalia Ptukhа from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that from December 24 to 25, a field of increased atmospheric pressure will dominate in Ukraine, giving the weather a more wintry character. The air temperature will start to decrease, transitioning to frosts.

According to her, precipitation will be minimal: only in the western regions on December 24, light wet snow and rain are possible.

Forecast for December 24

• At night and during the day, the temperature throughout the country will fluctuate from -3° to +3°.

• In Transcarpathia and the south, it will be slightly warmer — up to +7° during the day.

• In the left bank, in Kyiv, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions, the temperature will noticeably drop: from 0° to -6°, and at night in the east and northeast — locally down to -10°.

Forecast for December 25

There will be virtually no precipitation; at night, temperatures will range between -4°…-10°, possibly a little lower in the left bank. During the day, temperatures are expected from 0° to -6°, even colder in the east and northeast, but no severe frosts are predicted.

In Kyiv, on December 24, there will be no significant precipitation, and nighttime temperatures will drop to -2°…-4°. On December 25, the capital will also experience a cold night down to -3…-5°, with a light frost expected during the day and no precipitation.

The forecaster added that the Christmas days will be more wintry with moderate frosts and mostly without precipitation, only in the west is there a chance of light rain with wet snow.
