Druha Rika Marks 30th Anniversary with 'I Am!' Show and Charity Drive.
Druha Rika's Anniversary Spectacle
According to Novyny.live: To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the band Druha Rika will present a special show titled 'I Am! 30 Years' on March 8, 2026, at the Sports Palace. The show's director, Herman Nenov, has unveiled a stage design featuring key elements like dynamic lighting, moving light platforms, and a large LED screen.
Charity Campaign for Military Support
Running alongside the concert is a charity initiative aiming to raise 15 million Ukrainian hryvnias for the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine. The funds will be allocated for:
- purchasing an evacuation boat;
- acquiring Mavic 3T drones;
- and buying server equipment.
Herman Nenov remarked that the stage design evokes 'a feeling of precarious balance, like a kind of Leaning Tower of Pisa that seems about to topple but defies gravity to remain standing.'
The 'I Am! 30 Years' show is poised to be a significant event not just for the band's fans but for Ukraine's entire music community, as it blends an anniversary celebration with a charitable purpose. The band has been a fixture in Ukrainian alternative rock since the mid-1990s.
Druha Rika's anniversary concert highlights both the group's musical legacy and its sense of social responsibility. The critical need to fund military support, given the ongoing situation in Ukraine, makes this event particularly timely. It is expected to draw attention from a broad audience, reaffirming the band's important place in the nation's cultural landscape.
