According to ТСН: The Polish prosecutor's office has charged five foreigners, including two Ukrainian citizens, for collaborating with Russian intelligence. The arrested individuals are suspected of gathering and transmitting information about Poland's critical infrastructure.

According to information from the prosecutor's office, police and the Internal Security Agency of Poland arrested five individuals who acted within the country. This group included three Belarusian citizens and two Ukrainian citizens.

Actions of the arrested individuals

According to the prosecutor's office, the detained individuals are suspected of collaborating with foreign intelligence, particularly through the Telegram messenger. Their activities involved executing tasks related to Poland's national security: creating and transmitting photographs of critical infrastructure objects and documenting locations important for national security.

The suspects received compensation in cryptocurrency. The prosecutor's office also reported that one of the detainees is a minor. All suspects face up to 30 years in prison under Article 130 of the Polish Penal Code, which pertains to collaboration with foreign intelligence.

Other cases of detention

Earlier, it was reported that one of four Ukrainians in Poland was detained, suspected of involvement in railway sabotage on behalf of Russian special services. He was found with 46 Russian passports and other documents issued by the Russian Federation.

Polish law enforcement also announced evidence suggesting the probable involvement of another Ukrainian citizen in acts of sabotage on railway infrastructure.

Additionally, two Russian citizens were previously sentenced in Poland to 5.5 years in prison for espionage on behalf of Russia and ties to the Wagner group. The verdict was issued by the District Court in Kraków.

These detentions highlight the ongoing threat to Poland's national security posed by foreign spies. Law enforcement continues to actively work on identifying and neutralizing such threats, as the security of critical infrastructure remains a priority for state authorities.
