Two-time Olympic champion from Russia showed support for the war against Ukraine.
Ukrainian shooter Vitalina Batsarashkina expressed support for Russian aggression in Ukraine. She participated in the All-Russian shooting competitions in Omsk. In the venue where the competitions were held, there was a banner with the symbol 'Z' and the slogan 'we do not abandon our own,' which supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Batsarashkina and other participants took photographs under this banner. The athlete has also been included in the database of the 'Peacemaker' website.
Another news concerns former Russian national football player Alexei Bugayev, who was eliminated by Ukrainian defenders. Bugayev played for the teams 'Lokomotiv', 'Tom', and 'Krasnodar'. He played 7 matches for the Russian national team and participated in Euro 2004. He also won the Russian Super Cup with 'Lokomotiv'. In September this year, he was sentenced to 9.5 years in prison for attempting to distribute drugs.
Ukrainian boxer Vasyl Lomachenko made a negative post on social networks, expressing his disagreement with the interview of Metropolitan Epiphanius of Kyiv and all Ukraine regarding the reform of the church calendar. He condemned the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and believes that it promotes violence and hatred. Lomachenko perceives persecution of people who refuse to join the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
