Jamala Releases New Track 'Zamovkny'
According to TSN.ua: Jamala, the Ukrainian singer-songwriter and Eurovision winner, has released a new single titled 'Zamovkny' along with a lyric video. The song is the third preview of her upcoming album 'Rukh Miy,' which is scheduled for release on March 27. Musically, it blends alternative pop with minimalist electronics, a style designed to highlight the track's emotional depth and lyrical intensity.
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Lesya Podolyanko. Jamala explained that during the creative process, she came to a realization:
"the most important thing is not to create unnecessary drama"
Director Lesya Podolyanko added that
"the concept of this lyric video is about a woman's inner freedom, her ability to easily let go of someone who is no longer on the same path". The video's premiere was timed to coincide symbolically with International Women's Day, underscoring the theme of female self-expression and autonomy.
The 'Rukh Miy' Album
The album 'Rukh Miy' is anticipated to be a significant event for Jamala's fans and for Ukrainian music. Alongside 'Zamovkny,' it will feature other compositions expected to continue the artist's tradition of delivering emotionally resonant and meaningful content.
This release highlights the growing prominence of themes centered on women's inner freedom and self-expression in contemporary music. It aligns with broader global conversations focusing on women's rights and societal roles. As such, 'Rukh Miy' has the potential to be not just a musical milestone but also a cultural statement that draws attention to relevant social issues.
