EFL Plans Reform of England's Football Pyramid: What Will Change for Clubs.
Changes in the English Football Pyramid
According to The Sun: The English football pyramid may undergo significant transformations following statements by Ricky Parry. The head of the English Football League recently spoke at a football analytics conference held at the Boundary Park stadium of Oldham Athletic.
Parry, who has been the chairman of the EFL since 2019, shared detailed information about efforts to reform the system.
“The football pyramid has remained largely unchanged for decades, and it’s time for us to consider some reforms that could benefit the entire sport,”he noted.
Current changes in the football system may affect the number of teams in the leagues, promotion mechanisms, and interactions between clubs. It is important that reforms not only enhance competitiveness but also support youth in engaging in sports.
Given the prolonged discussion of possible changes, football players, coaches, and fans who care about the game will be watching these initiatives that could set a new course for the development of English football.
