Manchester City disbands the triumphant squad: three heroes of the treble season left in one day.
Significant changes at Manchester City
According to The Sun: Manchester City is undergoing major changes, as three heroes from the triumphant team left the club in just one day.
German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan was the last to leave the Etihad, transferring to Galatasaray. The transfer window in Turkey will remain open until September 12.

Although Gundogan has always been one of Pep Guardiola's favorites, he was the next after 30-year-old defender Manuel Akanji and goalkeeper Ederson in this radical change.
Gundogan left the club for free despite having a year left on his contract with Manchester City to make room for new team members and reduce salary costs.
This Turkish-German player was Guardiola's first signing in 2016 and spent seven years there before joining Barcelona.
However, he returned to Manchester City in August 2024, playing 33 matches in the Premier League last season when the team finished a disappointing third.
Gundogan said: “Manchester City will always hold a special place in my heart. We achieved so much success during our time together, and there were so many unforgettable moments, not least - captaining during the treble-winning season.”
Akanji has moved to Italian club Inter Milan on a season-long loan with a buyout option for the next season.
The loan will cost Inter £870,000, while the buyout option is valued at £13 million.
Ederson, 32, may play against Gundogan this season as he signed with Fenerbahce for £11 million.
The goalkeeper was forced to leave after Guardiola signed two new goalkeepers - James Trafford from Bournemouth and the Italian international Gianluigi Donnarumma on the transfer deadline day.
Ederson stated in his exit statement: “I leave Manchester City incredibly proud of what we achieved together, and it has been an honor to wear this shirt.”
“I arrived in Manchester eight years ago, full of hope, but could not foresee such a wonderful time together.”
The changes at Manchester City are indeed remarkable. The club that achieved multiple victories last season is undergoing changes that could significantly impact its future. With new faces and the departures of familiar players, the team will try to find a new balance and return to the top of the competition. It will be interesting to see how these changes reflect on the club's results in the upcoming matches.
