Euro-2026. Ukraine's futsal team secured its third consecutive victory.


Ukraine defeated Germany in the Euro-2026 futsal qualification
The Ukrainian futsal team achieved its third victory in the qualification for the 2026 Men's European Championship. In the third round, the Ukrainian team defeated Germany with a score of 5:3.
Previously, in December 2024, the 'blue-yellows' started the qualifiers very confidently: first, they crushed Cyprus 7:0, and then defeated Romania 2:0. Before the match with Ukraine, the German team was in third place in the standings, having one victory over Cyprus in the second round with a score of 2:1.
The standings of Group 1:
- Ukraine - 9 points (3 matches), 14:3 (goal difference)
- Romania - 6 points (3 matches), 12:3
- Germany - 3 points (3 matches), 5:12
- Cyprus - 0 points (3 matches), 2:15
According to the rules, only the group winner will get a direct ticket to Euro-2026. However, the eight best teams that finish second will have a chance to qualify for the championship through playoffs.
It is also worth noting that earlier the Ukrainian futsal team crushed the national team of Venezuela in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Futsal World Cup. The match, which took place in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), ended with a score of 9:4. For the first Time since 1996, the Ukrainian team managed to reach the top four teams in the world.
The Ukrainian team also achieved victory over France in the match for third place at the 2024 Futsal World Cup.
