European Military Doctrine Needs Update - Lecornu.

The Minister of the Armed Forces of France, Sébastien Lecornu, stated that Europe lacks military equipment, but winning a war can depend not only on the wealth of arms but also on the right strategy and effective technologies.
He spoke about this at a press conference in Warsaw after a meeting of defense leaders from five countries.
'In Ukraine, we saw that we need a lot of equipment. But at the same Time, the conflict between Iran and Israel showed that we also need innovations, technologies, and precision. The two wars that took place in 2024 taught us something new,' the minister said.
According to him, Europeans need to rethink their military doctrine.
'Sometimes, it was not the one who spent the most money who won, but the one who was smarter. Yes, the countries gathered here are investing a lot of money in their defense. But the real question is strategy and effectiveness. This brings the question of doctrine to the forefront,' Lecornu explained.
He believes that a common military strategy and intellectual developments can become 'the strength of the European peoples.' The security situation is now worse than during the Cold War.
He noted that new militarized zones and digital technologies make the world more dangerous. During the Cold War, there were no cyberattacks on European hospitals. Today, there is a threat of cyberattacks on 500 hospitals simultaneously in several countries. This is a completely different level of threat. We can be defeated without being attacked,' he emphasized.
