Plot of the film 'Anora'

The film tells the story of a young stripper from Brooklyn named Anora, who falls in love with the son of a Russian oligarch and marries him. However, despite her happiness, Ivan's parents learn about the marriage and try to stop the wedding.

The young man came to the USA for education but is more interested in parties and video games at the family estate.

Initially, Ivan hires Any for intimate encounters, then offers her to be his wife to obtain a green card and stay in the USA. She has her doubts at first, but eventually agrees, and they marry in Vegas.

Ivan's mother tries to interfere with their relationship and flies to America to take her son back with her.

It's also important to note that actors Mark Eidelshtein and Yuri Borisov starred in Russian films shot in occupied Crimea.

Critics from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the Boston Film Critics Society also named 'Anora' the best film at the awards ceremony of the Los Angeles Film Critics Association.

Information about actor Borisov

Yuri Borisov is listed in the 'Peacemaker' database. In 2020, he starred in the Russian film 'Kalashnikov', which was shot in occupied Crimea. The year prior, he also appeared in the film 'T-34', which glorified the Russian army.

At the beginning of the war, Borisov signed a letter calling for the cessation of legalized murder of people. However, afterwards he did not comment on the war and continued working in Russia.

Recently, the actor distributed flowers to women in the Moscow subway, disguised as the Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. This was part of the promotion for the new film 'Prophet. The Story of Alexander Pushkin', in which Borisov plays the lead role.
