Dnipro Football Club Sues Dnipro-1 to Recover Debt of 435,000 Hryvnias.
Dnipro FC Files Lawsuit
According to Novyny.live: Dnipro Football Club has filed a lawsuit with the Dnipropetrovsk Region Commercial Court against the Sports Club Dnipro-1, seeking to enforce a monetary obligation of 435,377.97 hryvnias. The claim, submitted on February 16, 2026, centers on a principal debt of 429,321.97 hryvnias. This legal action highlights the complex financial disputes that can arise between football clubs, even those sharing a city's name and heritage.
The court had already scheduled a hearing for the bankruptcy case of LLC 'SC Dnipro 1' in October 2025. A hearing for this new claim is set for March 16.
Status of Dnipro-1
Sports Club Dnipro-1 was founded in 2017 and achieved a second-place finish in the Ukrainian Premier League during the 2022-23 season. However, the club was liquidated as a legal entity in 2024. The upcoming court proceedings on March 16 could have significant implications for the resolution of these financial obligations and serve as a notable case for Ukrainian football's ongoing financial challenges.
