According to The Sun: Brentford's Chief Operating Officer Amish Manek has decided to join Manchester United, where he will take on an important position.

The former Arsenal representative made his choice in favor of this transition this week.

According to BBC Sport, he will become the new Director of Football Operations after the resignation of David Harrison.

Manek will be responsible for organizing travel and logistics, supporting players, and managing the team.

He will report to Football Director Jason Wilks after taking office.

The former Brentford executive will primarily work at Carrington, where the daily football operations base is located.

Manek spent three years at Brentford, initially serving as the Director of Business Operations.

In July of last year, he was promoted to Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role at United, he is expected to focus on football matters for both teams - men's and women's.

Prior to moving to Brentford, Manek spent five years at Arsenal, where he became Head of First Team Football Operations.

In other news, Manek received a fine after pleading guilty to improper conduct in 2019.

He allegedly discussed the situation with fourth official Stuart Attwell and referee John Moss during a break in a Premier League match between Arsenal and Crystal Palace, resulting in a financial penalty of £8000.

Manek became the latest staff member to transition from Brentford to Manchester United, following the academy director Stephen Tarpy.
