The incident occurred around the 80th minute when Lang attempted to keep the ball in play near the sideline and crashed into an advertising board. He briefly lost consciousness for a few seconds after the collision.
Following the injury, Lang was substituted off the pitch, with Mauro Icardi taking his place. The player was rushed to the hospital, where he underwent surgery. As a result of the injury, Lang lost a finger.
