The Russian army is preparing for an offensive in the Vovchansk area of Kharkiv region
According to the report of the operational-tactical group "Kharkiv", the Russian army plans to launch an offensive in the Vovchansk area. In the morning, there was an attempt to deploy the TOS-1A rocket flamethrower system from the direction of Shebekino. However, the defense forces delivered a fire strike with other means.
The situation on the Kharkiv front has not changed, the situation remains difficult. The Ukrainian defense forces continue to restrain the Russian occupying forces.
At night, the enemy mined the territory near Liptsi using drones. In the Starytsia area, additional sniper pairs were involved to carry out special tasks.
In Vovchansk, the enemy conducted aerial reconnaissance, delivered fire strikes, and restored the combat capability of its units. There was also an evacuation of medical losses and logistical support for enemy units.
During the past day, there was one combat clash, during which the enemy conducted an airstrike and 44 kamikaze drone strikes. There were also 433 shellings of Ukrainian defender positions.
It was previously reported the use of "underground moles" tactics by Russian occupiers, which involves creating tunnels for covert movements.
The statement by the representative of the operational-tactical group "Kharkiv" Vitaliy Sarantsev that the Russian occupiers plan to bring the Chechen special forces "Akhmat" into Vovchansk was dismissed as self-promotion.
The city of Vovchansk in Kharkiv region, which was once prosperous, is now turned into ruins due to constant shelling by the occupiers. Photographers Kostyantyn and Vlada Liberov published shocking aerial footage, showing the scale of destruction.
It is also known that in the summer of 2024, occupiers executed four Ukrainian soldiers at the territory of an aggregate plant in Vovchansk.
