Fruit Basket: How Prices for Apples, Grapes, Bananas, and Oranges Have Changed.
Fruit prices in Ukraine this fall are showing different dynamics. Over the past month, prices have decreased for apples and regular oranges, while the cost of bananas and premium-class oranges has increased. This is reported by the portal "Minfin".
Specialists recorded a 19.5% decrease in apple prices. In August, the average price per kilogram was 33.51 hryvnias, and now it is 26.97 hryvnias. The reason for this decline is the apple harvest season, which falls in autumn.
The price of regular oranges decreased by 12.2%, while premium-class oranges increased by 7.4%. Thus, regular oranges currently cost 70.90 hryvnias per kilogram, and premium-class oranges – 87.40 hryvnias per kilogram.
The price of bananas increased by 10.9%. In August, they were priced at 55.85 hryvnias per kilogram, and now their average cost is 61.92 hryvnias per kilogram. This may be related to supply fluctuations.
Grapes have become 5% cheaper, with their average price being 134.53 hryvnias per kilogram. The most probable reason for the price drop is the increase in the volume of the local grape harvest on the market.
