Boxer Iman Kellyf Ready to Defend Gold at Olympics-2028
Boxer Iman Kellyf, who competes in the welterweight category, has confirmed her intention to defend her gold medal at the 2028 Olympic Games. She announced her plans following reports that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is considering a ban on transgender athletes participating in the games. This decision raises many questions about the policies concerning athletes with differences in sexual development (DSD).“I will do everything possible to lift the medal above my head again. I am confident in my abilities,”– emphasized Kellyf. The situation surrounding the participation of transgender athletes in competitions continues to build tension in sports, and opinions on this matter are divided. This issue clearly requires further discussion within the sports community, as it pertains to equality and fairness in competition at the international level.
