This spring, TV presenter and war participant Hennadiy Popenko underwent a military medical examination and was discharged from service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but continues to work with veterans. Popenko spoke about his work at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs, his health status, and new projects.

Participation in military operations and new profession

According to inkorr.com: After participating in the de-occupation of Kyiv region in 2022, Hennadiy took part in repelling attacks, mine clearance, and performing other tasks. In 2024, he sustained a knee injury, which led to his discharge from service this spring. Now Popenko works at the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.
